Grange Spoil Santos' Big Day

Santos started their campaign in Division 2B with a disappointing loss at home to Grange Rangers. After leading at half time, Santos lost two goals in the second half to lose all three points.

Santos started the brightest and looked to be in control - eventually taking a one nil lead through a Manus O'Gorman cross-cum-shot that flew past the hapless keeper.

Santos had numerous opportunities to double their lead but faield to take advantage.

Santos took the one goal advantage into the break and their failings in front of goal in the first half proved decisive as Grange forced an equaliser. Within around 10 minutes to go Grange scored their second from a free kick played long into the Santos box - the ball was pulled back and rammed home by the Grange scorer. Poor defending from Santos to match their poor finishing.

Santos's first game in division 2B has shown that they need to find that killer touch to finish teams off especially going into next weeks match against Ford.
