April 22nd 2002 - a Tuesday night Santos won the North Down Supplementary Cup with a 2-1 win over Ocean Boulevard. Played on a wet night at 1st Bangor's ground in Newtownards.
Santos went a goal down early on but kept plugging away. Early in the second half Aidey Dalton took an O'Gorman cross to score. Then approaching 80 minutes a tactical switch saw Paul Havlin replaced. Sean Boyle went to midfield and Joseph McGeehan moved up front. It worked like a dream as Boyle won a header in midfield and the ball travelled to McGeehan. He could have chipped the keeper but opted to pull the ball down, draw the keeper wide, then slot in the winner for a historic victory.
